Is it tacky to wear a cream pants suit whitle getting married at city hall? what color shoes/boots?

i am a female who is getting married on christmas eve. at city hall in new york. i have purchased a cream pants suit to wear that day. is this tacky? why? what color shoes/boots should i wear?Is it tacky to wear a cream pants suit whitle getting married at city hall? what color shoes/boots?

For shoes/boots....really any color would go. I would go with a nice shoe instead of a boot, but that is just my opinion. It's totally up to you. A brown shoe would look nice...or even black.





Wow...Christmas Eve in New York...how cool! I hope on the 23rd you will ';pamper'; yourself and maybe get your nails done, etc.





Are you going to have a small bouquet? Red roses would be absolutely beautiful. It doesn't need to be one of those huge things...just a few roses tied with a silk ribbon would be nice.

i think it sounds like a great way to go and match the shoes to the outfit...you don't want to put any dark shoes with a cream outfit
It's sounds absolutely perfect and totally appropriate. I would probably wear red shoes, but I'm a red kind of girl. Black or brown or cream shoes would work too.
Gorgeous, wear a fab pair of cream high heels (as high as you dare and can walk comfortably in) and some chandelier earrings and have your hair and makeup professionally done. You'll be a smash.

a cream suit sound perfect go w/ brown shoes/boots %26amp; maybe gold accessories if u plan on a bouquet have them put gold in it like ribbons around the part that u hold they can tell u better but that would definetly look very pretty dont go nuts overshoes all that is really going to show is just the tip of the shoes/boots as long as they r comfortable first then pretty. have ur nails done in a simple french design so they wont overpower the suit any other color may be too strong for the suit hope this helps CONGRATS ur getting married christmas eve THATS SOOO COOOL!!!!

I suggest you find cream or taupe shoes . . . or maybe cream or taupe boots. Or as someone else suggested, maybe blue shoes? Every bride needs something blue.

Cream is great.. it goes with any color shoe. If you are willing to buy new shoes, just look around for a shoe that you absolutely love but would have nowhere else to wear it. Try a brown-shade animal print, or a shoes with another really awesome print. Or very fancy shoes.

Why would it be tacky? The whole ';no white after Memorial Day'; or whatever wouldn't apply since you're a bride.


Shoes/boots, I'd wear chocolate color.


I like your ideas. I am not a tomboy type, but my dress is one I will wear again at Renaissance Faire in future and be sure to wear sensible shoes!!

I would go with a beige or sandy coloured boot. You could pull off white, but it might be too much...or maybe light blue for a twist on the old ';something borrowed..thing';, if you need an excuse to go shopping for new boots! (thats assuming a fall/spring/winter wedding-for summer, I would go with a modern pump.





any style that you choose, I think that the heel style could rang from stiletto to a narrow stacked heel.
i'd have to see it. but i don't like the idea of any cream suit. Wear a dress!!
